On a writing spree son!

Pain. Despair. Guilt. The overwhelming flames that scorched Tryfaeria spilled out into the room and flickered violently about the people standing around the illuminating stone. Yaffen and Kazrael yelped, falling to their knees thinking they could avoid the image painted in their senses, unable to hide their sight even after closing their eyes. Ced, watching with suspicious interest, took in as much as he could. His gaze flickered to Thadd, who had crumpled to his knees. Tears streaked his face, and from between his grit teeth, blood trickled down his chin. He held his bleeding hand up still, palm towards the mirror as it belched forth the horrendous carnage that had raped the Kingdom of Tryfaeria. So many Ghalanite lives, snuffed out in an instant, all by their own hands. Seeing the pain and misery being brought forth by the stone, the Guild-masters stirred slightly.
Ruemeaux had her eyes closed, but faced towards the stone, “Focus Thaddius. You almost have it.”
Weakness. Fear. The guilt was bringing to fracture his mind. Thadd longed to sever his own tongue and die right there. Anything would have been better than to endure this. The ordeal continued. More death. More guilt.

Thought.

"But us soldiers? People want you do to everything. Every time someone thieves someone else’s gold, or some Dark Priests rituallistically light up the night sky, or a rival nation’s army marches on the kingdom next door, soldiers are pleaded to and cried for to do something about it! Where were YOU then, eh?! Soldiers of any rank swear fealty to any kingdom, to serve and to protect and yet were are ridiculed when we can’t make everything better! We were HUMAN, dammit! We had limits! Don’t you stand there and question me about my morals, you hypocrite. Even as the ‘Grand Crusader’ everyone made me out to be, even with a formation of men riding at my back, we couldn’t do everything. We couldn’t save Juine Harbor from burning. We couldn’t rescue all the citizens who were slaughtered. And then everyone blamed us for it! They actually pinned the destruction of the harbor under MY name! We were doing our duty and by our own Gods-be-damned mortality, we had to report our failure. There are a lot of wicked people in this world and evil things that are happening every day and sometimes, we just have to accept the limitations that we cannot do everything."
